Social Events

Concurrent with the poster sessions, there will be two receptions on Days 1 and 2. The receptions were kindly sponsored by the journals Database: The Journal of Biological Databases and Curation and Bioinformatics, from Oxford University Press.

The Biocuration 2012 conference will overlap with the 100^th Anniversary of the Cherry Blossom festival in Washington, D.C. The peak bloom date around the Tidal Basin is predicted to be from March 21^st to April 4^th. Centennial celebrations will last from March 20^th to April 27^th, featuring over 200 international cultural events.
